      This little old man is Eusebio & he’s 10 yrs old. He’s about 30 lbs & had been waiting at Mastines en la Calle in Spain for over 6 months. We didn't want to see him spend any more time in a shelter so we brought him to the US! He’s good with other dogs & loves attention. As an older guy, he does have some mild cataracts. If you have space for him as a new addition, fill out an application or send us a message! He's currently being fostered in MD but can travel for the right family.

His only requirement for his new family is to have LOTS of soft toys to carry around. He thinks there's nothing like them & can often be seen carrying at least 2-4 around at one time!  

Please help us welcome Igor to the Sanctuary family! Igor is a 8 yr old Portuguese Podengo mix from Portugal & he came to the US with help from our friends at Bring Portuguese Podengos to Light. Even though his passport says 6, I think he may be around 8 based on that sweet old man face. I think those eyes have seen a lot over the years. Igor, as you can see, is great with kids & is an all-around super dog. He arrived on our black dog flight on Feb 29 & is being fostered in DE, but he's still looking for a forever family. If you think you've got enough soft dog beds for this adorable old fella, submit an application!  

Guine is an absolute beauty, a rare Podengo Orito who's 8 years old. She was forgotten in a municipal pound in the Azores but she's forgotten no more! This little girl is currently in the US & being fostered in VA, but can travel for the right family. She's sweet, petite, & constantly wags her tail when given attention. She's seriously an awesome little girl. Guine wants a home with no cats & also no female dogs, males are ok.  She needs a yard to exercise with a minimum of a 5 ft fence. If interested in giving this middle aged girl a spot on your sofa, send us a message!
